My Grandfather was a wedding photographer in California, and one day he gave me some advice. He said, "Matthew, don't ever go into the pizza or the photography business." At the time, I was working in a start up pizza place, while finishing photo school. That was many years ago, and I half followed his advice as I don't work in the pizza restaurant anymore!
I love photography, and think it's magical. It allows you to show people the world through your eyes. Other than photography, my hobbies include skateboarding and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I feel they are all similar in that there are ups and downs, and they can present problems to be solved. I enjoy solving those problems, finding resolutions and coming out the other end feeling good about what has been accomplished. And I love sharing that feeling when working with a team. I'm always looking to work on new projects from portraits to high concept collaborations and everything in between.
